Bio: Barbara Baggerly-Hinojosa, Ph.D. is a wife, mother, and educator living in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. She is a graduate of Our Lady of the Lake University with a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies. In addition, she holds an Associate of Arts degree in Education from McLennan Community College, Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas Pan American, and a Master of Arts in Educational Supervision from the University of Texas Pan American. Dr. Baggerly- Hinojosa’s current research is focused on servant leadership, gender issues in leadership, and leadership communication.

Dr. Baggerly-Hinojosa is the CEO of Leadership Empowerment Group. In this capacity, she serves the business, education, government, and healthcare industries with training and coaching on leadership development, conflict management, team building, communication, and strategic planning. In addition, Dr. Baggerly-Hinojosa is the owner of Mid Valley Publishing which produces and publishes The Mercedes Enterprise newspaper. Finally, Dr. Baggerly-Hinojosa is a professor of leadership studies at Our Lady of the Lake University in the School of Business and Leadership Studies where she teaches PhD and courses in leadership theory, conflict management, business strategy, and oral communications.

She has published three books on leadership: Are You a Ten? The Ten Characteristics of a Servant Leader, The Leadership Collection, and Eres un Diez? and has been a contributing author in various leadership textbooks and has published articles in numerous academic journals. She serves her community by participating as a board member for the Hidalgo County Cotillion, Dr. Hector P. Garcia Memorial Foundation, The Deep South Texas Panhellenic Society, Excellence in Teaching, and the Organization of Women Executives. In 2017, Dr. Baggerly-Hinojosa was named Woman of the Year by the Mercedes Chamber of Commerce and has been named 2018 RGV Business Woman of the Year by the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Recently, Dr. Baggerly-Hinojosa was awarded the Governors Small Business Award and named one of the Women of Distinction from the Texas Mexican American Chambers of Commerce in 2019.

Cancellation Policy and No Shows:  If you have registered and/or paid for an event and you need to cancel, you MUST email info@rgvacfe.com no later than 3 days prior to the event to request a refund and/or cancel your registration. The Chapter must confirm event registrations with the venue within 3 days of the event and any changes after this time period can become a financial cost to the Chapter. Cancellations received less than 3 days prior to events will not be refunded except for exigent circumstances.

In the event an attendee does not show up to the event, the registration cost will be forfeited. If payment at the door was the selected method, then the attendee will be billed for the full cost of the event. The Chapter reserves the right to bar for future registration any attendees who routinely register and fail to pay and/or attend the event.
